About Jean Monnier:
Established in 1720 in Meursault Domaine Jean Monnier is one of the oldest established properties in Burgundy, but current owner Nicolas Monnier’s family has been involved in the trade far longer - he is a 16th-generation winemaker.

The estate is composed of 17 hectares with parcels in Meursault, Puligny Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune, planted primarily with old vines ranging from 25 to 60 years of age. Monnier is one of the few producers in Meursault to produce equal amounts of white and red wines. The whites are complex and rich due to prolonged lees contact in oak, followed by 12 to 18 months maturation before being bottled.
