This upper part of the vineyard has a shallower soil compared to the village section. A little more colour and definitely more weight of fruit on the nose. Decent fruit, slight iron oxide feel in the blood orange nature, good crisp acidity at the back. Attractive, or will be with a few years in bottle, Drink from 2025-2028.

This is aromatically similar to the villages version but with more spice elements in play. There is slightly better volume to the delicious and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that possess more evident power on the moderately austere and firmer finish that is also noticeably more persistent. Drink: 2031+

He answered immediately “Rapet Pere & Fils”. I had also asked two of my friends in Burgundy for recommendations of quality Domaines that did not have representation in Australia. Both checked with their friends and one came back offering Morey Coffinet & … Rapet Pere & Fils.
