19.3 points, JJ (John Jens)
Soft, full, ripe, restrained, and classy. Long and brilliant oak handling, lingering endlessly to an exemplary finish and after taste. Dense, supple, fine, lingering and crafted.

98 Points, Ray Jordan, Winepilot.com
This is a Syrah that will make the wine world sit-up and think what is possible for this variety in Frankland River…It has an incredibly deep and dense colour…The texture and brightness of the palate is a feature. It is also a wine that is unafraid to show its tannins. Winemaker Rob Mann says it is inspired a lot by what is drunk in Europe... A wine that redefines Syrah in much the same way the Grenache has redefined that variety.

97+ Points, Erin Larkin, The Wine Advocate
The 2020 Farvie Syrah is excellent. It's a ball bearing of a wine—smooth, hard and shiny, polished and seamless. It has structural tannin from the 65% whole bunch without it being bunchy or stemmy. It's moving and developing, but it's still so primary... The 2020 vintage suits this style of wine I think—it shows the lush fruit alongside the intense tannin, but I kind of want/expect that from the fruit. It is creamy almost, without being lactic or milky. It is succulent, powerful and svelte.
