"Pure power on the palate with a fine-boned, elegant yet intense wine that produces an extraordinarily lengthy finish".

95 points - Peter Bourne Gourmet (Traveler Wine Feb/March 2013)
"Raspberry, cherry and wild strawberry with souis bois overtones. A fine, tight palate with finesse and good detail. It will build in the bottle."
Peter Bourne, GT Wine Feb/March 2013

96 points - Nick Stock (The Age/SMH Good Wine Guide 2013.)
"A more reserved and linear style that sports more assertive oak at this stage. There's a lot of fine spice and earth, the whole bunch use has wrapped this full of complexity and it shows an elevated red fruit note, strawberry compote and some gently, creamy elements. The palate is linear, powerful and compact, and shows impressive drive. Great balance here, much to come - power and elegance are the hallmarks once again, acidity is striking."

93 points - Rebecca Gibb MW, Decanter
Sandwiched between the highly acclaimed 2010 and 2012 vintages, 2011 did not receive the warmest reception, being less fruity and more firmly structured, but it's stood the test of time. It has a finely pixellated texture with smoky, spicy and charcuterie-esque flavours. There's a definite sense of savouriness and tension through the intense core. Still rather firm and would benefit from further time in bottle.
