"Dense red and black fruit flavours interwoven with exotic Oriental spices. Powerful Pinot Noir that's richly textured and has an impressively lingering finish. A house style is evident although the wine has more apparent fruit, or perhaps less savoury influence, than the mainstream labels."

94 points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
"Smoky tones, tannin structure, spice and length. Now we're talking. More my style of pinot noir than the 'standard' Felton Road pinot - or at least, more of a cellaring style. Lovely cherry-plum fruitiness but with the architecture to keep it both trim and upstanding. Bursts of fragrance, on the nose as well as in the mouth, particularly as you swallow it. Elegant and fruity. Silken texture. Whispers of twigs and smoky oak. Confident, tannic finish. Quite impeccable."

17/20 points - Jancis Robinson
Normal growing season with a cool finish and quite a late harvest. Angular wines in youth which worried people initially but they have been comforted by the fact that they have aged well.
Healthy bright crimson. Beautiful balance and sweetness with a hint of menthol. Juice and freshness. Bright dry finish. Lovely freshness. But this seems to be at peak now. (JR)

94 points - Joe Czerwinski
the Block 3 tannins are so silky and refined they give a soft, luscious character to the wine that's incredibly appealing. Spice, black cherry and cola notes finish long and complex.
