John Jens aka JJ acts as sommelier and runs the wine retail business at the Lamont’s Cottesloe restaurant, winebar and retail shop. As part of that, he does a significant amount of wine importing from across Italy, France and Spain which is sold through Lamont’s own outlets and through other restaurants and retailers in WA.
He has worked in the wine industry since 1977 and worked in all areas – retail, wholesale, wine storage companies, importing, wine radio shows, local wine columns (for 30 years) and a winery (a founding 50% of Devil’s Lair) and has been observing WA wines for 41 years.
